I would say the quality of coffee is definitely a matter of taste. Living in Seattle, we seemingly have more coffee choices than anyone will every be able to sample in an entire lifetime.

What I can say about "buckies" is that the quality is consistent. The temperature, flavor, and presentation are universally the same no matter which store you frequent.

Is their coffee the best? Not likely. I'm fairly sure that distinction goes to Kopi Luwak. Certainly the stores are not the most fancy, nor the most entertaining. However, if you combine the entire experience from coffee to service to ambience, I'd say sbux is by far the best "commercial" coffee shop around.
