I’ve been thinking about listing out trading books and magazines on my shelf. I just did not have the time. Here it is. I am not grading the books, instead I am categorizing them according to my understanding and feed back after reading them. Absolutely personal opinions.

Category 1= Good reference

Good post. You make some great points that most people do not fully understand.

"I am still in the reading phase but I like the way you break down the categories. I have read a few books were I did not finish or just did not want to waste time to review because they were not worth it. I was trying to figure out a way to quickly say what you did in Cat 6 and 7 and in general order my reviews when I am finished reading. Thanks for the idea on how to do it."

Like how you categorize your reading.

Don't see 'Tools and Tactics for the Master DayTrader: Battle-Tested Techniques for Day, Swing, and Position Traders' by Oliver Velez and Greg Capra on your list.

One of my favorite books for talking psychology in the 1st section, and chart trading fundamentals in the latter. While there are some typos in it, I've got it on my "good reference" list

Yup, I have read a lot of good words about O'neil's book. And yes, I hear you. I will pick up the book again, and hope I can upgrade the book to another category.

I cannot help but notice you think O'Neil's book is boring. That is the best book written on trading. The chapter on selling will make you millions. I encourage you to take the time to read it. As a trader with over 10 years in the business, I can tell the principles laid out work at a hedge fund level, investment management level, and on an individual trader level.
