October 2006 : Week 2 review

October 14, 2006 – 9:49 am

Dear diary

Before I leave home for coffee and movie “The Departed“, here is my result of the week.

The trade on Friday, the 13th, it turns my weekly result from red to break even. Only 3 trades were made this week. Two losers with 1-R loss each and one winner with 2-R gain.

Nothing much to write about for this result. At least, I managed to close the week in black. I am looking forward a better trading week.

    Gav,

I watched that movie last weekend - it was not too bad…BUT, for some reason, I still prefer the Chinese version of this movie (Infernal Affairs).

I still enjoyed “The Departed” (more bloody than the Chinese version).

If you haven’t already (though I think you already have), check out Infernal Affairs I, II, and III.

Let us know what you think of The Departed and have a great weekend!

    JC,
Not so bad, ‘The departed’ did not disappoint me. Jack Nicholson is the man. He deserved another Oscar award. Yup, it is more bloody than the chinese version. And in fact, I prefer Tony Leong in chinese version to Leonardo dicaprio in the ‘The departed’. Leonardo did well in the movie, but perosnally, I still think that Tony Leong is the best for that role.

Wow, man, you have watched quite a number of chinese movies huh. If you have chance, remember to cath “The banquet” features Ziyi Zhang. It is another excellent china production.

Yea - I was going to go check out “The Banquet” at the Toronto International Film Festival last month, but the tickets sold out (

Ziyi Zhang was in town along with several of the other actors during the festival…too bad I couldn’t get tickets. I don’t know if or when “The Banquet” will be released here in North America though…

    Anyways have a good weekend!
